Quantum Leaf

Hey, remember me? I own this joint 🙂

Now that the season’s over and I’m mostly done with our commitments to USA Today Sports, I’ve been working on a side project that I expect a lot of you will enjoy–Quantum Leaf.

It’s a game for 1 to 4 players that uses a single tessellating shape–a leaf–to tile a surface. I’ve developed prototypes and will be running a Kickstarter campaign in early 2014 to roll out the product version.

Click on the image above to check out the game. Over on the Quantum Leaf site, to can submit your email address if you want to be updated on when our Kickstarter launches.

I have to admit that I was a little skeptical about this as a game until I read up a little and thought about it some. Could be pretty interesting.

Will there be “rules” per se for playing against someone? I could almost see this being used as decoration as much as a game. Would be an interesting thing to place under glass for a tabletop or something.

Yes, I will be posting some basic instructions to the QL website soon, but the vast majority of the beta testers I’ve used have just loved playing with the pieces, not even using the game board–just trying to fit them together, making patterns with the colors, etc. Everybody loves it, from 5-year-old up to adults.
